Tootsie is a real winner. But I thought you had it at number 2 the last time we talked about this?! How did it drop to number 4? For me, Tootsie is the number 1 comedy. The number 2 comedy is either The Good-Bye Girl or Stakeout (the first one).

Ah, beautiful girls. And lost in translation. And the matrix. And amadeus. Yes, yes.... This is a good list.

I had no idea Lost in Translation had fallen so far down the list. Hmmm...

I will spend the next few days conjuring my own list, but I am still amazed that "The Usual Suspects" or "The Maltese Falcon" did not make this list. I may also have liked "The Mission" better than "Chariots of Fire," and would want to add the Denzel Washington movie about Steven Biko (Cry Freedom) in there. Cheers.

phatty, you really need to reconsider putting star wars ahead of godfather...seriously. And I agree with whoever sji may be; surprising that you don't have the mission on there. ennio's music alone puts it in the top 5.

some wonderful viewing for your consideration:
-life is beautiful
-chocalat
-babe (yes, the pig movie)
-second hand lions
-amelie
-off the map

even at 57%, rachel is sure to enjoy

ummm . . . It's a Wonderful Life, anyone?

Natty, what does it say about your lists that they are both very '90s-oriented?

Tootsie? TOOTSIE! I can't even respect this choice. The others in the list are respectable, and I can see you arguing their inclusion; however, Robin Williams wouldn't put this film in his top 15 movies made! I love you, Nat.
